The Independent Education Union invites all Education Support Staff working in Catholic and Independent schools across the Geelong region to a special event in recognition of the vital role you play in supporting students and teachers in our schools.
Location: Geelong Trades Hall, 127 Myers Street, Geelong
This event will provide an opportunity to connect, learn about your workplace rights, and celebrate your essential contributions.
Program highlights:
Your rights at work: Information session with ES Organiser Tracey Spiel and local Geelong Organisers Heather Macardy and Jacqui Cameron on workplace rights, entitlements, and advocacy.
Building recognition for ESS: Discussion on raising the profile of Education Support Staff to secure the respect and recognition you deserve. (Split into Catholic and Independent working groups)
Understanding classification structures: Guidance on your classification and how the IEU can help through the process of seeking reclassification.
Celebrating your work: Enjoy complimentary drinks and nibbles, plus prizes for members and new joiners on the day!

This event is open to ALL Education Support staff, you don’t have to be an IEU member to attend!
