To mark International Women’s Day (IWD) in 2026, we're bringing workers together to rally for equality, dignity, and power at work.
Our special guest speaker is Wil Stracke from the Victorian Trades Hall Council, who will speak about the Victorian movement's landmark win last year to curb the use of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) - a powerful example of what collective union action can achieve for working women.
But this day is about more than one win. It’s about the many ways unions fight for working women every day - for safer workplaces and communities, fair pay, secure jobs, and respect - and about being honest that we've still got work to do.
IWD is a moment to celebrate progress, call out the challenges that remain, and recommit to the collective strength that drives real change.
We'll rally together, share a few chants, and have a bite to eat. Both the BBQ and solidarity are free. All genders and allies welcome.
