Resisting the Trumpification of Education in Australia: Early Childhood, School, TAFE and University

Resisting the Trumpification of Education in Australia: Early Childhood, School, TAFE and University

May 3 will be a pivotal election for the future of education in Australia.

The Australian Education Union (AEU), National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU), and Independent Education Union (IEU) are coming together for a special online forum next week – and you’re invited.

We are already seeing attacks to all levels of our education system: political interference in curriculum and research, Trump-style tactics from the Dutton-led Coalition, and funding cuts that directly harm staff and students across all levels of education.

Join us for this important all-in session:
Wednesday 16 April, 1:00 PM (AEST)

Online

You’ll hear from:

  • Correna Haythorpe, AEU Federal President

  • Veronica Yewdall, IEU Assistant Federal Secretary

  • Dr Damien Cahill, NTEU General Secretary

They’ll be discussing:

  • The campaigns underway to secure the best outcomes for Australian education

  • What’s at stake under a potential Coalition government

  • How you can get involved and make a difference

We hope to see you at the session.
