Terms and Conditions

Application

I understand that I am applying for membership of the Independent Education Union Victoria Tasmania branch, hereby referred to as the Union.

I authorise the Union to act on my behalf in respect of any negotiations, discussions or proceedings whatsoever relating to the terms and conditions of my employment or proposed employment; and to be given access to all documentation relating to my employment or proposed employment, including any type of employment contract, workplace Agreement, Enterprise Agreement or other industrial instrument.

Rules

I agree to abide by the Rules of the Union and amendments made in accordance with these Rules.

Privacy

I understand that the information I provide will be used in accordance with the Union’s Privacy Policy.   

Membership

I understand that membership fees may be altered from time to time, and I will be notified of any such changes before they take effect.

If paying membership fees by Payroll Deduction, I understand that my school has the authority to deduct my membership fees from my salary, and that these membership fees may be altered from time to time in accordance with written advice from the Union. This authorisation to deduct shall remain in force until I advise otherwise, or such time as I leave the school.

I understand that my membership of the Union remains ongoing until I advise otherwise in writing providing two weeks’ notice.
