Improved Conditions

This Agreement includes stronger Parental Leave entitlements, leave improvements and better conditions.

 Parental Leave

  • Paid parental leave increasing from 14 to 16 weeks

  • Paid partner leave increasing from 1 to 4 weeks

  • Eligibility for paid parental leave after 3 terms (down from 4)

  • Superannuation payments & recognition of service for 12 months unpaid parental leave

  • Paid pre-natal leave for pregnant employees (38 hours) and partners (15.2 hours)

  • Paid Kinship and Foster Care Leave (15.2 hours, up to 5 occasions).

 Leave Improvements

  • ‘Special Leave’ allowing one day of personal leave to be used for other purposes

  • Paid leave for Family & Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse Survivors Support

  • Casual employees eligible for Long Service Leave

  • Category C Education Support Staff entitled to all public holidays.

Conditions

  • Improved redundancy payments

  • More regular superannuation payments

  • Paid professional development for regular CRTs

  • Commitment to limit ‘spread of hours’ (ie. days of attendance) for part-time staff

  • Accident Make-Up Pay extended from 26 to 39 weeks, providing better income security for staff injured at work.
