PD Webinar - Working with disengaged students

Students who require additional support often struggle to engage with regular classroom work. It can then be challenging to work closely with these students and encourage them to complete the work assigned by the classroom teachers.

This session is designed specifically for Learning Support Staff to provide practical strategies to cater for students displaying disengaged behaviours. Exploring some of the underlying causes for disengagement will ensure that you can provide feedback to the classroom teacher while also building on productive working relationships with the students.

The presenter is an experienced classroom teacher who will be able to share advice about continuing to build good communication strategies between the teacher, students and the Learning Support Staff to create a positive and inclusive learning enviornment.

Presenter - Brendan Tollit
