PD Webinar - Setting routines and expectations

A classroom is most successful when there are positive relationships that recognise everyone's responsibilities and contributions. A teacher's responsibility is to create shared expectations about positive behaviours and to plan transparent and predictable routines that promote optimal learning conditions. If you plan for success, you can create positive, safe, and inclusive learning environments that minimise disruptive behaviours. When you plan for success you can empower students to take appropriate responsibility for the classroom environment and their own learning. This session will outline positive, practical steps that every teacher can incorporate to create effective learning communities in the classroom.
